Business of Animation - Food Network

As I stated in my previous post our  first and main brief was to promote the Chello Zone CBS zone's food network.  for this we were given the choice of choosing through three different themes: as follows

  • Street Food Mouth
  • Sugar rush Sundays
  • Italian  month
Each of these titles had audio to them "Street food Month" and "Sugar Rush Sunday" lasted 5 seconds while "Italian Month" was 15 seconds.  Italian month I found to be the clear brief of the brief. in this view were advertising a competition promoting Italian food and a chance to win a Vespa, whilst Street Food Month and Sugar Rush Sundays were left up to your imagination to create something visually engaging in the time frame.  At the end the food network logo is required to appear with the title.

These were some reference of bumpers produced for the Food network:

This was the best bumper I found for the food network. I very much like the simplicity of this bumper the vector images are simple the background is simple the transitions are simple and all but very effective in conveying the differences in style of food.

The Business of Animation

The business of animation is my latest brief. For this we were given the chance to create a few motion graphics promoting the Chello Zone CBS promotions for the food network. The second live  where live briefs for various different companies each brief  has its own requirements.

These are a few motion graphic designs I found all created  in a  similar way but effectively and creatively to get across its message.

This is one of the few videos I've posted again as I think it's a really good motion graphic. this was most likely made in after effects and the transitions in this animation which make are most likely by hiding and revealing certain things at certain moments.

This was one we were shown in class and was broken down by our lecture showing us how is likely to create may have made this and some of their tips and tricks to making this. This was very helpful and I got good insight into how I could go about creating something as good as this.

The Basics of Motion Design from Rogge & Pott on Vimeo.

This is by far one of the best motion design tutorial video out there done in a very simplistic way it shows you the fundamentals of making a good and effective motion design full of  life.

The key message being given and demonstrated in all these examples were to keep your animation moving and visually engaging as this was significantly important if you didn't have a voice-over. but generally in all these animations the camera is moving and something is happening in every scene no  this  still everything is moving therefore making the viewer constantly paying attention and watching to see what happens next.  This is one of the key things  I must take into consideration when creating my own graphics.
