L5 Animation - Pre-Production for Specialist Study Caslon 2

This is the somewhat final piece for the Caslon  project I had to slightly rush finishing it to the end and it is missing a voice-over which would have felt well this however was because of my time constraints on this project.

L5 Animation - Pre-Production for Specialist Study Caslon

The brief for the Caslon project was to create an animation or motion graphic from a segment of text on William Caslon. For this, I was given Caslon’s influence, which was a short piece describing Caslon and his printing industry in England. My action plan was to highlight the keywords in the text and use this as a guide for my animation. However, as I was given some more time for this project, I did more research on Caslon, to find out additional information about him, his industry and the art of printing in England in the 18th century.

Research on in to Caslon

For the Caslon animation the style I went for orders motoring graphic this was due to many reasons I thought this style would be good for the target audience as it is easy visuals and is less time-consuming.

L5 Animation - Pre-Production for Specialist Study

For the L5 Animation - Pre-Production for Specialist Study Project I had to tasks which I needed to complete the first was to work with an L6 student and help with his animation the 2nd was to create an animation based on William Caslon. This task was given to me later on so given me a short time to animate.

For the specialist study project I worked with an animator whose  area of interest was stop motion this however was not something I want to specialize in.  Unfortunately I was not giving the most to do with this student which didn't make for the most rewarding collaboration.

This was his storyboard the main task I helped him with was captured the animation on the Milo camera.

This is a copy of his storyboard.

Digital animation– Planning

An easy-to-read illustration helps tell a story and makes data points easier to understand. And it doesn't hurt when infographics are not only clear and straightforward but also beautiful and engaging. The aesthetic design draws the viewer in; the information helps the viewer analyze and understand the data being presented.
visualizations that present complex information quickly and clearly
visualizations that integrate words and graphics to reveal information, patterns or trends
visualizations that are easier to understand than words alone
visualizations that are beautiful and engaging

Digital animation– Infographics Research 2

The two videos below highlight the huge effect technology has on students and teenagers. Highlight a number of things such as how they use it what they think of it and how it is changing their world and how they live life. I thought this was a very insight video which would how contribution to my animation.

I did some more research on infographic to examine a bit more about the different styles and techniques used in infographics. usually  there is a narrator in the Infographic guiding the view and convey the information over. However this is not always the case some may just have music and some have no sound which is does not really make the most engaging Infographic.

The pinterest infographic only uses music but does so very effectly this carried the story and the view through the animation the colour is bubblly and vibrant the  to the ma

Digital animation– Infographics Research

With Infographics being used such prominently as a medium for conveying information over to the public this, has led to an Increasingly large trend of businesses and oganization using the form.

The value of having a good infographic is very rewarding for instance if you have a good infographic promoting your company or organization it has the chance of being blogged, trumblr and so fourth about creating a lot of buzz and expanding its audience. incidentally this happens to be what I am doing with some of the best infographics I have found on the web.

Digital animation- Infographics

Okay, so first things first, watch the video (below). I think it is a very well crafted Infographic. Being both visual engaging and informative. I found it to clearly explain the general aspects of Data Visualization (Infographics). Covering the importance of Infographics and why they are so important in today's present society and can have a lasting impact on the viewer.

Watched it, good, Okay so you now have a general view of what Infographics are, if you did not so before. This was my task. For the second part of my Digital animation module I was task with creating an Infographic.

For this project brief we were shown a range of different Infographics and had the choice of picking one from which we would then base are animation on. Topics ranged from water to capitalism to traffic. However I was not really inspired by any of the ones on offer so. Fortunately we were also given the choice of finding an existing Infographic  from which we could base are animation on. This was good for me, because I knew exactly what I wanted to do... FOOTBALL! (not American football).

These are some of the best Football Infographics I Found:

I decided to change my idea  from football to technology the decision to change was due to me finding a lot of tech base infographics in particular the one below which I like. This was the Infographic I choose to use as Inspiration.

In Order of Importance to my project.

One of the coolest infographic I've seen.
